Barely three days after the receipt of the results of the National Common Entrance Examination for admission into the country’s 110 Unity Colleges, the Federal Ministry of Education has released the first batch of merit-based admission into Unity Colleges in line with the directives of Education Minister, Adamu Adamu.

Receiving the results of the 2020/2021 National Common Entrance from the chief examiner the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO). Professor Godswil Obioma, the Minister directed that “within 72 hours of the receipt of the results principals are to complete both the merit-based (60%) and 30% equality of states admissions.

The results were transmitted to principals on Wednesday, 18 November 2020 by the Basie and Secondary Education Department of the Ministry, which is saddled with the responsibility.

Within the stipulated timeframe, both the merit-based and equality of States’ admissions are now ready.

Candidates are advised to check the admission list which will be posted on the website of the Ministry on Monday, the 23d November, 2020.

Admission letters will be available for collection at the Unity Colleges on the 24 November, 2020.

  1. Login to NECO Result / Admission Status Checking Portal via result.neco.gov.ng
  2. Enter Exam number, Exam Type & Year.
  3. Finally, Click on the Check Result button to View your admission status.

NB: Students who have been offered provisional admission have two weeks after the release of the results to accept the offer, otherwise, they would be replaced by other candidates.

My son score 177 and choice kc his admission is pending, his result says his qualify for national merit how long do we wait for him to get admission for his choice school.

Please my daughter scored 157 and it says she’s qualified for admission on merit but anytime I check the admission portal it says admission is pending. What do I need to do please?
