NSUK Closure of University Extension as at 6th May 2020
The management of Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) has extended the closure of University for another two weeks with effect from Thursday 7th May 2020.
This was disclosed in a memo signed by the University’s Registrar, Bala Ahmed and reads:

RE: EXTENSION OF CLOSURE OF THE UNIVERSITY”
“The circular on the above subject matter dated 9th April, 2020 refers.
“The Management in further consideration of the recent developments with regards to the ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, particularly as it affects our dear state has approved further extension of the closure of the University.
“The extension would be for a period of (2) weeks with effect from Thursday, 7th May, 2020. Staff on essential duties are to remain at their duty posts as usual, please.
“Finally, staff and students are again strongly advised to strictly abide by the safety measures advocated by the Federal Government so we can quickly reduce the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Be guided accordingly, please.”
NSUK Closure of the University News as at 27th May 2020
1. The University is in the process of starting virtual lecture as soon as the coast is clear. This administration will not allow the pandemic to jeopardise the future of our students.
2. In view of this, the Management has constituted a Committee under the leadership of the DVC Academics to drive the virtual lectures.
3. As soon as the strike is called off, the Committee will come up with the modality. Lectures will run from Monday to Friday from 8.00am.
4. Another press release will be made to commence the lectures.

In efforts to contain Covid-19, management of Nasarawa State University has extended the closure of the University by Two Weeks. The new date has also been announced. See details below.
This is to inform students of Nasarawa State University (NSUK) that the management of the University has extended the closure of the University by Two Weeks in other to contain the spread of Covid-19.
This was disclosed in a memo signed by the University’s Registrar, Bala Ahmed.

The memo fully reads:
“The Management has reviewed the general situation in the Country and the measures taken by the State Government with regards to the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.
“Consequently, the Management has approved the extension of the closure of the University by another two (2) weeks with effect from Monday, 13th April, 2020.
“For the avoidance of doubt, staff on essential duties are to remain at their duty posts accordingly.
“Once again, staff and students are strongly advised to strictly abide by the safety measures advocated by the Federal Government to guide against the spread of COVID-19.
“Meanwhile, the Management wishes to congratulate all our Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of the Easter celebration.
“By implication, the school is expected to resume on 27th April 2020.”
