1. We’re not against online teaching — Lagos govt

The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, says the state government is not against the online teaching initiative adopted by most private schools. You can read the full details HERE.

2. Wike orders immediate deportation of almajiris from Rivers, considers total lockdown 

In more measures to curb the spread of coronavirus in Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike, has ordered the immediate deportation of Almajiris and other street beggars from the state with immediate effect.

3. Payment of salaries: We’re hopeful government will waive BVN condition ― ASUU

Remember that in our post yesterday, we announced that FG said they will pay lecturers salary though their BVN. According to FG, theis will help them fish-out lecturers with multiple jobs.

Well, ASUU is not buying this new method. Yesterday The Union’s National President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said the union is hopeful of government waiving the submission of BVN before their withheld February and March 2020 salaries are paid. You can read the full details HERE
