  • (v) LASU requires Economics and one of Government or Geography.
  • (vi) AL-HIKMAH accepts Commerce in lieu of Mathematics or Economics.

  • (iv) GOUU and WESTERN-DEL same as in Accounting
  • (v) NDU a. Banking, Finance and Insurance require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) of the following; Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics b. Office Management Technology requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Economics, and three (3) other subjects.
  • (vi) LASU requires two (2) other subjects from Principles of Account, Commerce and Office Practice.
  • (vii) RHEMA accepts ND in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Studies, Agricultural Economics or NCE in Economics/Business Studies with the UTME requirements.

  • (xiii) BELLS require five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one or two (2) sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects.
  • (xiv) EUI requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • (xv) LCITY requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce and any other two (2) subjects.
  • (xvi) MOUNTAIN TOP requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects from the following: Geography, Biology, Commerce, Government, Account and Book-keeping.
  • (xviii) BELLS requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects.
  • (xxix) KASU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other subjects.
  • (xxx) LANDMARK requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Commercial subject and at least a pass in science subject or a credit level pass in ,social science.

DIRECT ENTRY SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR BANKING AND FINANCE UNDER SOCIAL SCIENCES

  • (i) GOUU, AJAYI and NILE – As in Accounting.
  • (ii) CUAB accepts a. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Mathematics and either Economics or Accounts. b. IJMB at acceptable grades. c. NCE credit, ND, HND lower credit and approved equivalent may be admitted to the appropriate level.
  • (iii) LASU requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Mathematics and Statistics. LASU accepts ‘A’ Level pass in Government. ND/HND not admissible for Direct Entry.
  • (iv) BIU same as in Accounting.
  • (v) OOU accepts Part I Chartered Institute of Bankers.
  • (vi) UNIOSUN accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Geography, Government and Accounting. ND lower credit in relevant programmes. Candidates with ICAN, ACCA (London), CIMA (UK), CIBN, CITN and other members of IFAC may be considered
  • (vii) CALABAR accepts ND in Banking and Finance.
  • (viii) BENIN – in addition to the UTME requirements, requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Economics; ND upper credit in Accounting, Business Studies or Financial Studies; HND lower credit in Accounting , Financial Studies, Business Studies or Banking and Finance; NCE merit with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Economics or Business Studies; Associate Institute of Bankers (Part 1). Accepts HND lower credit or merit in relevant Programme.
  • (ix) WESTERN-DEL same as in Accounting
  • (x) CALEB accepts ND credit in Accounting, Banking, Financial Studies, or ATS, ICAN may be considered for admission by Direct Entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one sitting.
  • (xi) BAYERO does not accept Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science and History.
  • (xii) JOS accepts ND lower credit in Business Administration, Accounting, Purchasing and Supply, Marketing and other related programmes.
  • (xiii) NDU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) other subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • (xiv) SOUTHWESTERN accepts a. NCE merit in relevant subjects. b. ND in Management, Marketing, Accounting and Banking/Finance with a minimum of ‘B’ overall average. c. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one other subject. d. IJMB/NCE/ND/Banking Certificate/ CIBN course or approved equivalent.
  • (xv) ABUJA accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any of Social Science and Management or ND upper credit in relevant programmes in addition to the UTME requirements.
  • (xvi) UNIKINGS – Same as in Accounting.
  • (xvii) ODUDUWA accepts NCE merit, ND credit or Foundation International examinations such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, GPFA.
  • (xviii) CHRISTOPHER requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Statistics and Geography. Accepts HND, ND or NCE credits in relevant subjects.
  • (xix) EUI accepts; a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics and one other subject. b) NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects. c) ND/HND at credit level in related discipline. d) Very good passes in JUPEB/IJMB subjects.
  • (xx) MOUNTAIN TOP in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements requires candidates to: a) Possess three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in the relevant commercial courses acceptable to the University or Foundation/JUPEB obtained from Mountain Top University or other recognized Universities. b) Possess OND Lower Credit in relevant courses including Finance, Insurance, Banking and other Financial Studies courses. c) Possess National Certificate of Education, Merit in relevant courses including Finance, Banking and other Financial Studies courses. d) Possess Final level pass of ICAN-ATS and Foundation pass of recognized professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA (London), CIMA (UK), CIBN, CITN, CIS and others who are members of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
  • (xxii) BELLS accepts Two (2) A level passes in Accounting or Economics and one (1) other subject. NCE merit in relevant subjects. ND credit. Foundation International exam such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, GPFA.
  • (xxiii) KASU accepts Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Statistics and Mathematics. HND/ND Lower Credit and NCE merit in related Discipline.
  • (xxiv) LANDMARK accepts Two (2) A level passes in Accounting or Economics and one (1) other subject. NCE merit in relevant subjects. ND credit. Foundation International exam such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, GPFA.

  • (ii) AUN does not accept ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home Management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book Keeping, Islamic Studies, History, Religious Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study Skills.
  • (iii) AUN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects from the following: Economics, Geography, Government, History, Literature in English, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Civics, Environmental Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and French.
  • (iv) UYO, UNIZIK, ESUTECH, EKSU, IMSU and LAGOS require ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics and two (2) other subjects.
  • (v) EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics plus other Social Science subjects.
  • (vi) IMSU and BIU accept credit/merit in English Language in TC II.
  • (vii) LAGOS requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) of Government, Geography, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Management and Book Keeping.
  • (viii) EBSU – Same as in Accounting.
  • (ix) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Government/History, Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Accounting (Financial/Business), Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics.
  • (x) UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics and any other relevant subjects. For NBC the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of the following: Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Economics.
  • (xi) DELSU requires five (5) credits at SSC or its equivalent, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) Social Science subjects.
  • (xii) RSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any two (2) other subjects.

DIRECT ENTRY SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR BANKING AND FINANCE UNDER FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION

  • (i) ABU accepts a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics and any one (1) other subject b) NCE with passes at Merit level in relevant subjects. c) ND at Credit level.
  • (ii) AAUA accepts a) HND lower credit in Banking and Finance; b) ND at Credit levels in relevant disciplines.
  • (iii) ABSU accept ND in Banking/Finance with a minimum of ‘B’ overall average.
  • (iv) EBSU accepts ACIB, ND, NCE or HND passed at merit level in relevant programmes in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements.
  • (v) EKSU accepts ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
  • (vi) ESUTECH accepts ND in Management, Marketing, Accounting and Finance. It also accepts ND in relevant programmes within the Faculty into 200 level in addition to the UTME requirements.
  • (vii) EVANGEL requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any of Science, Social Science or Management subjects plus ‘O’ Level requirements.
  • (viii) IGBINEDION as in Accounting.
  • (ix) IMSU and PHC – No Direct Entry
  • (x) LAGOS accepts very good passes in three (3) JUPEB/’A’ Level subjects: Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Financial Accounting, Business Studies, Mathematics, Geography and Government.
  • (xi) MCPHERSON accepts a) ND upper credit in relevant programmes. b) Foundation of professional examinations such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA& CIBN c) JUPEB/IJMB ‘A’ Level or equivalent in related programmes.
  • (xii) OOU accepts a) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and other subjects plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and Mathematics; b) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and Accounting. c) ND/HND and NCE not below the equivalent of upper credit in relevant subjects from recognized institutions as well as Foundation/ Intermediate Passes of the ICAN, ACCA, ICMA and CIPFA.
  • (xiii) UNIZIK require Direct Entry applicants to possess the UTME requirements.
  • (xiv) PHC accepts Two (2) Advanced level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Mathematics and at least one (1) of Economics, Statistics, Accounts including UTME entry requirements. OND (upper credit) or HND (Merit Pass) in either of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Business Management from a recognized institution including UTME entry requirements.
  • (xv) RSU in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts: (a) OND/ND (Upper Credit) relevant to the discipline. (b) HND (Lower Credit) relevant to the programme. (c) Degree (Third Class) relevant to the programme. (d) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes at GCE preferably in the Arts and Social Sciences.
  • (xvi) UNIZIK does not accept Geography.
  • (xvii) UNN accepts a) AIB and other professional qualifications or HND in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements. b) As in Accountancy.
  • (xviii) UYO accepts ND/HND in relevant programmes not below lower credit level. All Direct Entry candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements.
  • (xix) DELSU requires a) GCE ‘A’Level or HSC passes in Accounts, or Economics and at least one other Social Science subject. b) HND in upper credit obtained from approved polytechnics or colleges of technology. c) Merit in DELSU Diploma obtained from approved polytechnics or colleges of technology with a grade not lower than upper credit. d) Foundation/Intermediate Certificate in relevant Professional Bodies such as.
